IUP is a pretty nice place if you're used to small town life. The school is small enough that you can almost know everybody in your graduating class. It has a lovely campus with decent facilities for all majors but it does lack in some regards. First, the dining hall is honestly my biggest gripe with the school, it's pretty small in proportion to the population so it can sometimes be hard to find a seat if you find yourself having to go during the common hour. Food is not bad but it isn't great either. Campus life is pretty good as various organizations try to get students to interact with each other at different events throughout the year but they never seem to take off as the people there don't really want to do much. If you're a big partier who's pursuing Greek life, IUP is a very good choice, fraternities and sororities are probably the most active on campus.

I am a full time college student as well as a full time employee. I was originally enrolled at Community college of Allegheny County for a professional certification and Associates Degree program. Upon completion I worked with advisors to transfer to IUP for their business program. The advisors I work with at IUP have ensured a smooth transition of credits. They have also been super forthcoming about professor competencies and student opinions of class workloads as I mapped my academic plan. I get a true sense of commitment to student success here. My professors understand as full time employees we elect to take online and evening classes to get through or school workload. I find that most of my professors are adjunct and understand the balance of time themselves. They do a great job at fostering community and engagement for virtual/online students which is not a common experience across the remote student space.
