Discussion Post: Over the last several months I’ve seen my algorithm pushing memes aimed at marketing teams’ struggles of being heard, valued and trusted. So my question is this: if a marketer’s job is to bring forth metrics to better understand a company’s target audience, why do so many organizations choose to ignore the stats? I think I can understand if organizations looked at the data and decided to try alternatives for the sake of “science”, but sometimes it seems there’s more at play. What are your thoughts on why organizations ignore metrics? Are metrics valuable or not? Exhibit A Meme below!

🎃Happy Halloween🎃We are back!!! 👻Catch the float in an area near you in the Central Ward this afternoon! Thanks Camacho FloatsFloat takes off at 3pm! Listen for the music! Here’s a few tips for trick-or-treating: 🔸Avoid trick-or-treating alone. 🔸Walk in groups or with a trusted adult.🔸Plan a trick-or-treating route in familiar neighborhoods with well-lit streets.🔸Be careful when you cross a street. Look in both directions and make sure that there are no cars coming.🔸Choose bright costumes, and have children carry flashlights or glow sticks so they are easily visible.🔸Always walk younger children to the door to receive treats.🔸Be sure children do not approach any vehicle, occupied or not, unless you are with them.🔸Eat only factory-wrapped treats. 🔸Avoid eating homemade treats made by strangers.🔸Make sure children know your cellphone number, their home telephone number, and address in case you are separated.🔸Teach children how to call 911 in an emergency.

Before you begin thinking about your marketing strategy, identify who you're marketing to and leave yourself out of it (unless you're marketing to people just like you!).Think about what they eat, what they wear, what their Starbucks drink may be, what shows they like to watch, how they wear their hair. Get as specific as possible! Then ... sit back and think "how can I effectively get this person to buy in?" Happy Marketing!

Knowing who your customers are is crucial for any business. Instead of spending time and money on everyone, it's smarter to figure out who's genuinely interested in what you offer. Creating a #buyerpersona —a sort of profile representing your ideal customer—helps a lot. It's like a roadmap that shows you what your #targetaudience is like. When you tailor your #marketingstrategy to this specific group, you connect better with them. This not only saves resources but also boosts your chances of success because you're focusing on the people most likely to buy from you. So, understanding and reaching your #targetaudience isn't just a smart move; it's a key #strategy for business success.Let’s build impactful #buyerpersona and connect with our #audience!#marketingstrategy #buyerpersona #targetaudience #digitalmarketing #marketsegmentation #optimization

#Halloween, as we know it today, has evolved over centuries and is rooted in a mix of ancient traditions, religious beliefs, and cultural practices. While it doesn't have a direct medical backstory, it's possible to explore some historical and cultural elements related to health and medicine that may have influenced Halloween's origins and evolution.Halloween's roots can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It was believed that on the night of October 31st, the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred, and the spirits of the deceased would return to Earth. People lit bonfires and wore costumes to ward off these spirits, which could be interpreted as a way to protect against illness or misfortune associated with the approaching winter.Historical practices involving masks and disguises may have had connections to health concerns. During times of epidemics like the Black Death in Europe, people would wear masks filled with herbs or other substances, believing it would protect them from illness. Halloween masks could have evolved from these earlier practices. We are celebrating Halloween with the Launch of our First public event, The Townhall.#research #medicaleducation
