1. Confirm the check meets the eligibility requirements for Mobile Check Capture.
2. Ensure your contact information is current when you enter the mobile check deposit feature so Cash App can contact you if there is a problem.
3. Open Cash App on your mobile device.
4. Tap on your account balance.
5. Scroll down, and under “More ways to add money,” select “Checks.” The Mobile Check Capture feature might not yet be available to you if you don’t see this option.
6. Tap “Continue.”
7. Enter the amount of the check.
8. Confirm proper completion of the front and back of the check when prompted. Also, make sure it is clear who the check is payable to, that it is payable in U.S. dollarsand that it’s properly signed.
9. Take photos of the front and back of the check.
10. Tap “Submit.”

Once you’ve submitted your check for approval, Cash App will review it. If approved, you’ll receive a notification and access to the funds. If rejected, you may need to find an alternative check-cashing option. Per Cash App’s Mobile Check Capture Terms and Conditions, you should keep the paper check for two weeks in case there is a problem or Cash App rejects the check.

Cash App reviews submitted checks every business day, with the cutoff time set to 4 p.m. PST. Some checks, such as U.S. Treasury checks, may clear as early as one business day after submission. However, others could take up to 15 days to clear.
