Polk died June 3. She was born Aug. 18, 1910, in Carthage. She earned her B.A. degree from Texas College and her degree from the University of Denver, and attended Fisk UniversiShe was a longtime resident of Tyler and member of Bethlehem First Baptist Church.

She was a teacher for more than 30 years in the Tyler Independent School District. She was member of Tyler Garden Club, Sunday school teacher and a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by sisters; a brother; and son, Willis Hudson. Survivors include her husband, Leon Arthur Polk, Tyler; son, Bruce Leggett, Midland; daughters, Shelia Leggett, Midland, and Mary Hudson, Los Angeles, brother, Wilbert Clark; five sisters; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Deacons and trustees of Bethlehem First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. McCaffiety died June 3 in a Tyler hospice. She was born March 20, 1917, in Henderson County to Henry Earl Roberts and Lida Bell Watkins Roberts. She attended schools at Brushy Creek and Poynor and lived in Henderson for more than 50 years. She was a retired saleswoman from Mays Harris Department Store and member of South Main Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Vernon Roberts and Perry Roberts; sister, Jean Lehmberg; and son-in-law, James Bradshaw. She was member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Yoakum, and a homemaker. She was member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Yoakum. He was preceded in death by husband, Hilton Langhoff in 1981 and son, Richard Langhoff in 1986. He was a farmer, having lived on the farm for 84 years. He served during World War II in the Army and was a member of Tinney's Chapel Methodist Church of Winnsboro.
