🌟 Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: A Catalyst for Success 🌟We recently had an event within our company for DEI, and it made me think of how it can potentially give positive impacts on our business.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) isn't just a buzzword; it's a powerful driver of success for businesses. Here are three compelling ways DEI makes a positive impact:1. Enhanced Creativity and Innovation: Diverse teams bring together a rich tapestry of perspectives, experiences, and ideas. This diversity sparks creativity and innovation, resulting in groundbreaking solutions and products.2. Improved Decision-Making: Inclusive organizations encourage open dialogue and diverse viewpoints. When decisions are made with input from a wide range of backgrounds, they tend to be more comprehensive and reflective of the market's complexity.3. Attracting Top Talent: Embracing DEI isn't just about the right thing to do; it's also a magnet for talent. Companies that prioritize inclusion attract the best and brightest from all walks of life, giving them a competitive edge. When we foster an environment where every individual feels valued and included, we not only create a stronger workforce, but we also set the stage for sustainable growth and success. 🌍Kae Tagawa, 笹原 瑚都, Richard Herceg, Uran Ito, Mayu Muramoto#enworldJapan #DEI #DiversityandInclusion #BusinessImpact #InclusiveLeadershipA good example of The Coca-Cola Company https://lnkd.in/gA7QYKED

My colleague and friend Tim Donnelly reminded me of this "WORLDS APART" video a while back and it is still as powerful as ever. We all have differences. Sometimes we think our differences will divide us. But conversation can always unite us. Please take 4 minutes to watch this The HEINEKEN Company clip produced by Publicis London if you haven't before. #TuesdayTips 👉Today we celebrate the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development!Cultural diversity is linked to development, not only with respect to economic growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual life.Bridging the gap between cultures is one of the positive outcomes of being in a community like the #ICANetwork, which is constantly expanding and including members from different continents, fields of expertise, and cultural backgrounds. In ICA World we promote dialogue by organising online and in-person events, exchanging ideas and opinions, and establishing common values and principles to ensure fruitful cooperation. Our network of technical and local members empowers local ownership, ensuring the most sustainable solutions are applied in line with cultural diversity. We believe that creating solid and trustful human relationships among our members is a driving force of success, not only in winning project opportunities but, more broadly, in positively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. #CulturalDiversity #NetworkingForDevelopment #JoinICAWorld #DevelopmentCommunity #WorkingTogether

We might be surprised from whom we can get a fascinating insights or who can challenge our mindset. Embracing the variety of generations contributes to a balanced and holistic perspective in any setting, be it the workplace, our community, or the social circle. At Kaufland, we have colleagues of all age groups, varying from 16 to 78 years old, with an average age of 34 years old. I am certain that only by fostering a diverse space where people can express their authenticity can we grow, gain knowledge and generate innovative ideas. Each age group contributes with their unique experiences, skills, and point of views, and that is why we encourage our customers to be part of our campaign, choose the Yellow Cart and support age diversity. 💛#Kaufland #KauflandRomania #Retail #DiversityandInclusion #DiversityMonth #Equality #AgeDiversity #TopEmployer #EqualOpportunities #Diversity #TeamKaufland #KauflandCariere

Japan's ranking in the global gender gap index has reached an all-time low, according to the World Economic Forum's annual report.Japan now ranks 125th out of 146 countries, marking its lowest recorded result and the lowest in the East Asia and Pacific region. At around the same time a new survey has revealed the need for increased LGBTQ+ support among Japanese employers. Those companies which provide equalising support measures, and other initiatives are noticing numerous positive impacts including on their company culture. Here at Coca-Cola Japan we feel at this time it’s even more important we continue to drive our Company purpose in Japan and continue to promote DE&I initiatives both internally and externally. What’s good to see is more and more Corporates joining this approach. In April this year, Coca-Cola and many of its Employees were proud to participate in Tokyo Rainbow Pride and align with other corporates to walk together, in the parade, all towards the same destination to a better and inclusive society.Enjoy this lovely memory - https://lnkd.in/ghBS4g6E

Discipline is doing what you hate as if you love it.That's a Mike Tyson quote that I carry into my professional life. There is no job in the world where you'll love every aspect of your job 100% of the time. The best you can do as you shape the way you work over time, is to create a system for doing the things you hate in a way where you no longer hate it.Regardless of how we feel, as professionals, the job needs to be done as if we loved it.That's a value I feel is being eroded as talks of authenticity and candour enter the workspaces.Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge advocate for authenticity and candour to be the root of every company culture. But there are times being inauthentic helps protect the interests of everyone else. The latest example in Malaysia - The 1975.I won't critique their stance, but I will critique their execution. If they wanted to openly push for LGBT+ rights on their own social media or refuse to perform in Malaysia because of our laws - fair enough. That's well within their rights and it's in their own time. But when it's been explicitly stated in their contract to not bring it up?That's not something they don't understand in their 20+ years of being in the music industry. When on stage, you're there on contract by the organisers and for your fans.In your professional capacity - behave professionally. It's not the time and place to push your personal feelings to the front. Now it's affected the hundreds of vendors who came to sell food, the organizers, and the fans who were hoping for a great music festival. That's a lot of monetary pain for all parties - except them for now.How about you?Where do you draw the line between professionalism and being authentic about how you feel? We'll talk more about this tonight on Sarong & Slippers with my colleagues Fish Yeoh Sin Yee and Tris Low #authenticity #professionalism #humanresources #people #culture
